Rather than risking your health with sun tanning, try these natural remedies to remove your tan safely.

Lemon Juice and Honey
The juice of lemons have a whitening effect that makes tanning disappear more quickly.

Take fresh lemon juice, add some honey to it, and apply it to your skin. Apply it for 30 minutes and then wash it off.

You can also add sugar to the lemon juice and rub it all over your skin gently to remove dead cells.

Yogurt
Applying yogurt to sunburned skin can help to soothe and heal the skin. The lactic acid in yogurt can also help to exfoliate the skin, making it easier to remove the sun tan.

For best results, apply yogurt to the sunburned area for 20 minutes before rinsing it off with cool water. You can also add a few drops of lavender oil or chamomile oil to the yogurt for additional soothing power.

Coconut Oil

Milk and Honey
One of the most popular home remedies for sun tan removal is milk and honey.

Simply combine equal parts milk and honey, apply to your skin, and let sit for 15-20 minutes.

Rinse off with cool water and moisturize. You can do this once or twice a week for best results.

Yogurt and Tomato
Tomato and yogurt make for a great natural remedy to remove sun tan. All you need to do is mix two tablespoons of tomato puree with half a cup of yogurt.

Apply this mixture on your tanned skin and let it sit for about 20 minutes before washing it off. For best results, do this twice a week.

Cucumber Extract
Cucumber is perfect for tanned and sunburnt skin because it provides a cooling effect and is useful for getting rid of the tanned appearance.

Squeeze a cucumber to extract juice. Apply the juice to your skin by using a cotton ball. You can also add a little lemon juice for added benefits. Let it dry and wash.

 

Potato Juice
Potato juice is often used to lighten dark circles around the eyes. Apart from being naturally soothing, potato juice is also an effective bleaching agent.

Apply a raw potato juice directly to your skin to get rid of a tan. Also, thin potato slices can be applied to your eyes and face. Apply for 10-12 minutes, then wash off once dry.

Honey and Papaya
Papaya has enzymes that help brighten and exfoliate the skin, and honey is a natural moisturizer that soothes the skin. That being said, it is also rich in antioxidants that help to remove the free radicals from the skin that cause it to age.

Grab 4-5 cubes of ripe papaya; the riper, the better. Add 1 teaspoon of honey to it and mash it up with a spoon or fork. Mix well until you have a smooth paste. This paste should be applied to the tanned skin and allowed to dry. After 20-30 minutes, wash it off with water.

Masoor dal (red lentil), tomato and Aloe Vera pack
Sun tan can be treated effectively with Masoor dal. Aloe vera soothes and moisturizes the skin, while tomato juice provides a healthy glow.
In a bowl, soak 2 tbsp of masoor dal for a few hours until the dal is soft.
Drain the water and blend it in a blender.

In a bowl, mix in 1 teaspoon of aloe vera and gel and 2 teaspoons of fresh tomato juice.
Stir the flour into a paste.
For the most attractive sun-kissed tan, apply this on tanned skin and leave it on for twenty minutes.
To rinse it out, massage water over it and away from it.

Milk cream and strawberries
The skin rejuvenating power of milk cream, as a good quality skin product, will help one get their sun-damaged skin back in shape, as the ingredients remove and rejuvenate dead skin cells and replenish skin’s moisture and nutrients.

In addition to strawberries’ natural lactic acid content, milk cream can also be mixed with strawberries for a sun tan removal mask. After applying it to your face, let it sit for 15 minutes before rinsing it off.

Pineapple pulp and Honey
Pineapple contains an enzyme called Bromelain, which fights free radicals and reduces inflammation in the skin. It is also packed with Vitamin A, C and antioxidants, which undo sun damage and make the skin more even and vibrant.

Place 5-6 cubes of freshly chopped ripe pineapple in a blender and add 1 teaspoon of honey.
Make sure the mixture is smooth.
Extract the oil into a bowl and apply it to your tanned areas.
After 20 minutes, wash.
